I am focused on ensuring that the people and businesses of Bradfield are supported by the Government so that we are best positioned to overcome the challenges that we face.

MY POLICIES
HOUSING
The Major Parties are trying to tackle the housing crisis by limiting immigration- but this is not the only solution. Having extensively consulted businesses, stakeholders, and experts in the building, construction, development, and real estate sectors, all evidence points to the housing crisis being primarily due to undersupply of housing stock.
The reduction in the number of builders and developers due to the increase in the cost of supplies and delays in approvals has limited the opportunities for buyers and renters, and has driven prices up to an unaffordable level.

Reducing the cost of supplies
Reducing the cost of supplies will lower the cost of building homes, with savings passed on to Australian homebuyers.
Exploring new housing models
The Australian Government must explore new potential housing models in construction and living that increase efficiency, provide more choice, and reduce cost.
Removing Government imposed delays
Financial implications for State Governments and Local Governments that add to the cost of Australian homes by imposing unreasonable delays on construction and development.
BUSINESS
Small businesses have been hit hard by inflation. I know this from first hand experience. Almost every supplier has increased the price of the materials and services, yet most small business have had to absorb that cost without increasing their prices.
There are 2.6 million small businesses in Australia which employ over 5.2 million Australians, with many of those business in severe financial hardship. Governments should focus on providing immediate tax relief for small businesses to lessen the economic burden and drive much needed economic activity in the sector.

Lowering Taxes for Small Businesses
Advocating and lobbying for further tax reductions for small businesses in both the small business company tax rate and greater tax breaks for sole traders.
Easing regulations that restrict growth
Regulations that restrict small and medium businesses from starting or expanding need to be eased to promote economic growth.
Financial support to grow small businesses
With most small businesses in financial hardship as a result of a global pandemic, supply chain disruption, and record inflation, an economic injection will drive growth.
EDUCATION
Learning is a lifelong endeavour for all people. Education policy must serve the needs of all Australians through their lifetime, from when they are in primary and secondary school, through to tertiary education no matter what carer path they choose, and continued with regular upskilling throughout their professional carer.
Successive Governments and oppositions have left our education system under resourced and shifted its focus from ensuring the best education for students to other goals. Educational institutions must be allowed to focus on their primary role in educating students, and must be adequately resourced to do it.
The rapid advancement in technology presents challenges to industries and Australian workers, but it also provides opportunities that we must leverage to ensure that our economy and workforce are not left behind.

More funding to build schools in Bradfield
I will fight to increase the allocation of federal funds to New South Wales for the purpose of building more schools in Bradfield.
Ensuring schools focus on education first
The primary purpose of our schools must be to educate students. I will advocate for policies that ensure schools primarily focus on their roles as educators.
Leveraging AI to help students and teachers
Government must explore how the opportunities from the rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be used in schools for students and teachers.
A national micro-credentialing framework
It is critical that we ensure that Australian workers have new opportunities as they upskill themselves throughout their professional careers in a flexible way.
Aligning tertiary education curriculums with industry
Universities and TAFE should be equipping students with the skills and experience that will need to do the jobs of today and of tomorrow.
ENERGY
Australia’s energy policy must balance sustainability, reliability, and economic pragmatism. I will advocate for increased investment in cost-effective, sustainable energy sources and emerging technologies such as hydrogen and advanced battery storage. Policy must be guided by science and economics, not ideology, to ensure practical, evidence-based decisions that create jobs and provide a secure power grid.
I recognise the importance of reliable baseload power for our economy and national security. I will push for increased funding to modernise infrastructure and explore next-generation technologies. We must prioritises practical solutions that protect our environment, support our economy, and keep the lights (and aircons) on for all Australians.

Supporting sustainable energy sources
I will advocate for increase research and investment in sustainable energy sources that are cost effective and safe for the planet in the long term.
Energy decisions based on science and economics
I will strongly advocate that decisions and discussion around energy be based on science and consider economic factors, and not be based on ideological culture wars.
Increased funding for reliable baseload power
I will fight for increased funding to ensure reliable baseload power that is necessary for protecting Australia's economic and national security.
IMMIGRATION
Australia is a country of migrants, with almost all of us migrating here or having an ancestor who migrated to this beautiful country. Our immigration system must work for the benefit of Australia and for all Australians.
There is no doubt that our immigration system needs to be reformed. We must focus on ensuring that Australia attracts and secures the brightest minds and best talent.

High-Tech visas for experts in emerging industries
Australia has always been at the forefront of new technologies and emerging industries. We must attract the best minds and talents from around the world to maintain our competitive advantage.
Reforming the skilled migration visa programme
The skilled migration via program must be reformed to focus on the immediate needs of our key industries that have shortages in the workforce such as health, technology, planning, and engineering.
Attracting international entrepreneurship
Entrepreneurship is a skill that often cannot be taught as easily as others. There should be a pathway for skilled individuals who want to come to Australia to start, grow, and enhance businesses and improve our economy.
